Art and Nature Walk - at Westward Ho! in North Devon.
This takes place on May 1st,and is part of the 2010 North Devon and Exmoor Walking Festival which opens in April.
A gentle creative art walk along the south West Coast Path between Westward Ho! and Abbotsham Cliffs. It's flat - beautiful views - and ideal for all ages and abilities.
We meet at Mereley Road (free) car park at 1.30pm. See the further details below.
The fresh air and magnificent views from this stretch of coastline never fail to inspire me. Not to mention the birds, the distinctive rock formations and red clay, and the intricate detail of plant-life along the path's verges.
This is very easy walking, so we can concentrate on relaxing and letting our creativity flow!
Afterwards, if you wish, you can have copies of your photos, writing or drawings displayed at local venues, as well as online, at this website and blog. What a great opportunity to have your work seen and enjoyed by others!

A relaxing creative afternoon walk from Westward Ho! along the South West Coast Path, with its rocky coastline, diverse plant life and expansive views across the Atlantic and around Bideford Bay.
Our walk route is close to local amenities, and is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
From time to time, we will pause to make some art in this inspiring landscape. This may be drawing, photography, ephemeral artworks or even poetry and other writing - whatever takes your fancy! Bring along anything you think you need - such as a camera or paper and pencils… or you might like to come empty-handed and make small works with found stones, grasses, or other materials... or simply watch, and enjoy the walk.
With your permission, your work will be copied and may be exhibited in local information centres, and online, for all to enjoy.
At the end of the walk, we will return to the Sand Cats Café at Westward Ho! for a delicious cream tea.
